Introduction
screenit.app provides a content sharing and hosting platform via our website, and related Internet services, collectively known as the "Services". The Services are operated by screenit.app (the "Company", "we", "us", "our") for users of the Services ("you", "your", "user"). This policy explains our policy with respect to information that is collected from visitors to our website, and users of the Services. Where it applies, screenit.app is the "data controller" of the personal data collected through use of the Services.
Personal Data we Store
Below is a list of the personal data that we store, at various points whilst you use the Service.
When you Register:
- Username
- Hashed Password (we cannot view your plaintext password at any time)
- Hashed IP Address (to combat multi-accounting)
- When your account was created
- Discord Connection Information (Account ID, Username, Profile Avatar)
When you Login:
- Date/Time of the Login
- Hashed IP Address
When you purchase a Subscription:
- Customer ID, Subscription ID and Payment Intent ID from our payment processor
- The amount paid
- The date/time of the transaction
When you donate a domain:
- The domain you are donating
- The user ID/Name of the donator
When you upload a file:
- A unique ID
- The user ID/Name of the uploader
- The file contents itself (to serve the file)
- The date/time it was uploaded
- It's display name (if you choose to set one)
- The file type
When you create an image archive:
- The archive itself (this is stored encrypted)
- The user ID of the owner
- The date/time it was created
When you report an image:
- The user ID of the reporter
- The reason for the report
Where Data is Processed
The Company is based in Germany, however we have servers in the United States and Germany. Uploads are exclusively stored in Germany. Regardless of your location, you consent to the processing and transferring of your data in and to these regions.
Data is regularly backed up to ensure redundancy. These backups are stored encrypted, exclusively within Germany.
Disclosure of Your Information
There are very few circumstances in which your data may be shared with third-parties, and these are set forth below:
- Consent: With your express permission we may transfer your information
- Legal Requirements: We may disclose your information if required to do so by law, or in the good
faith belief that such action is necessary to (a) comply with any legal obligation; (b) protect the
rights of the Company; and (c) protect the safety of other users of the Service, or members of the
public.
We will never sell your data, or hand it over to third-parties outside of the circumstances described above.
Data Retention and Deletion
If you'd like to submit a data access request you can do so by emailing [email protected] and once we have established that you own the account the request is being made for, we will provide you a link to access the personal data we store for you.
If you'd like to request that the data we hold about you be deleted, you can follow the same process as above.
We will only retain personal data for as long as it is necessary for the purposes provided in this Privacy Policy (allowing you to use the Service). Upon a completed account deletion request, all data we store on you will be deleted.
Cloudflare
We use Cloudflare to provide DDoS mitigation and protection. This means all requests you make to the website will pass through Cloudflare, who collect a limited set of data in order to provide analytics and perform mitigation actions. Underage Users
Our Services are for users aged 13 and above, and we never knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 13. If you are a parent/legal guardian of a user under the age of 13, and believe that they have disclosed personal information, please contact us immediately at [email protected].
In some countries, the age of digital consent is above the age of 13. If you are a resident of one of these countries you must be at least that age to access our Services. We will never knowingly process data for users under this age of digital consent established by an applicable data protection law. If we come to find we have engaged in processing data for such users, we will immediately cease all processing of this data, and take suitable measures to remove this information from our systems.
Third-Party Content
This Privacy Policy applies only to the Services. Within the Services, there may be links to third-party content or website not operated by us. The policies described in this document do not apply to any third-party sites. If we link to content on a third-party site, this does not indicate that we endorse any such third-party. Before using any third-party site, we recommend that you review their Terms of Service and Privacy Policies yourself.
Changes to our Privacy Policy
We reserve the right to update, change or replace any part of this Privacy Policy at any time, without prior notice. Significant changes to this privacy policy will be communicated to you through a notification on the website.
